Celebrate Art, Culture, and Chocolate, family friendly Free for children under 10
Join us in celebrating Art Culture and Chocolate at the Asheville Chocolate and Arts festival on December 8, 2012 at the Asheville Civic Center 12-7pm!
Enjoy free chocolate samples by over 12 local chocolate and dessert makers including the French Broad Chocolate Lounge!
This family friendly event includes multicultural performances for all ages Hip Hop dance with local troupe Eternity, Tango dancing, Cherokee Storytelling, Aztec Dance, African Dance, Gospel choir music, Middle Eastern Dance and drumming with River Guerguerian and Lisa Zahiya, Zansa with Adama Dembele and Juan Holladay and the B-sides for children.
Included in your ticket price : free Chocolate samples, free drum and dance workshops, exhibits, multicultural performances, and a local and international artists market and a live music dance fashion show!
20% of all proceeds go to 3 local youth nonprofits Urban Arts Institute, Kids at Work! And Odyessy Community School. Students from these programs will be participating in the event on all levels from production to performance!
